Our services
What does AB Firestop do?
We specialise in firestopping, compartmentation, intumescent coatings, joints and enclosures. Our expertise also covers inspection, repairs and technical advice at handover.
Which penetrations can be sealed?
These include cable penetrations, PVC, steel, copper and multilayer pipes, ventilation ducts, service bundles and openings in walls and floors. The specific situation determines the suitable system.
What if a service cannot be sealed individually?
A fire-resistant enclosure may be a suitable solution. We use certified board and system solutions tailored to the application and required fire resistance.
Do you also protect steel structures?
Yes. We protect columns, beams, load-bearing structures and industrial steel frames with intumescent coatings. This includes thickness calculations, professional application, technical data sheets and certification documentation.
Project & coordination
Can you help with renovations?
Yes. We provide compartmentation for renovations and help inspect and repair existing firestopping.
Do you work with other installers?
Yes. We coordinate with the contractors involved, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing installers, to ensure careful finishing of penetrations and junctions.
What information is useful for an enquiry?

Technical details & handover
What fire resistance ratings are possible?
For firestopping, we work with ratings including EI30, EI60, EI90 and EI120. For steel protection, R30, R60, R90 and R120 are possible depending on the system and coating thickness. The solution is always tailored to the structure and project requirements.
Do you use certified systems?
Yes. AB Firestop uses certified systems suited to the specific application and required fire resistance.
Do you provide handover documentation?
Yes. Clear handover documentation is part of our approach. For intumescent coatings, we also provide technical data sheets and certification documentation.
Can existing firestopping be inspected?
Yes. We inspect existing firestopping and help repair non-compliant installations. We also assist with preparation for fire authority inspections and provide technical advice at handover.
